Another simple home remedies for bed bugs are washing of the bed linens and clothes at the thermal death point of 120 degrees F in the dryer which helps in killing the bed bugs easily. For cleaning the mattress, you can use bed bug steamer which helps in killing not only bed bugs but also its eggs. The steam coming out of the steamer need to be above 200 degrees F to kill those bugs which are hiddden inside the mattress or in the sofa. For your safety, comfort and relief from bugs it is advised to use mattress cover. Similarly the same thing can be applied for pillows. At times natural methods may not prove to be more successful in fighting against bugs. Never use insecticides indoors as they may prove to be harmful if you inhale.

The use of scented dryer sheets to cover the sofas and mattresses helps in keeping away the bugs to a far extent. Whenever you spot the eggs of bugs, try to lift them with a duct tape and remove them. You can even wash your walls and floors of your infested home with a bleaching agent to avoid bugs. You can also wipe your furniture and walls with sprayed alcohol for killing the bugs. It is always better to cover the poles of the furniture with duct tape (sticky surface facing outward).
